How Precious is My Mother's Love

Into this world I came to her delight,

precious was I in her sight.

It was her loving arms that held me close at night,

and smiles of joy greeted me in the morning light.

It was her words of comfort I cherished the most,

they made my heart light and full of hope.

In her words of wisdom she did say,

"In this life I have taught you right from wrong,

and for you to continue to be strong.

Never be afraid, just remember to behave."

With this life she has done her best,

and left God to do the rest.

Yes, I am precious in my mother's sight,

simply, because she chose to give me life.

When the time comes for us to depart,

my mother's love will always be precious in my heart.
